The album was entirely produced by Redman himself and Erick Sermon, as the two provided heavy funk tracks from beginning to end. Redman provides a mix of hardcore and humorous lyrics throughout the album, including on the singles Time 4 Sum Aksion, Blow Your Mind, and Tonights the Night, as well as popular album cuts A Day of Sooperman Lover and How to Roll a Blunt, which was co-produced by Pete Rock. The album debuted at 49 on the Billboard 200 and 5 on the Top R&BHip-Hop Albums chart on its way to gold status. He's able to carry it all off with a singular sense of style, thanks to a wild sense of humor that results in some outlandish boasts, surreal threats, and hilarious left-field jokes. Most MCs this gifted would spend the majority of their time bragging about their lyrical abilities, but Redman is always refreshingly modest and turns his unparalleled virtuosity into a host of uproarious punch lines and delightful non sequiturs.
